Payment Information
For paid subscriptions, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID but never store credit card details, bank information, or other sensitive payment data. Stripe handles all payment information according to their privacy policy and PCI compliance standards.
Video Processing Data
When you submit videos to ClipBolt:
- We temporarily store the video file for processing
- We transcribe the video using OpenAI Whisper
- We analyze the transcript using GPT-4o for clip detection
- Source video files are deleted after processing (typically within 24 hours)
- Generated clips are retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted
Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- IP address and device information
- Browser type and version
- Pages accessed and time spent
- API requests and usage metrics
3. Third-Party Services and Data Processors
ClipBolt uses the following third-party service providers and data processors to deliver the Service:
OpenAI Whisper (Data Processor)
ClipBolt uses OpenAI Whisper for audio transcription. When you submit videos:
- Audio tracks are temporarily sent to OpenAI's servers for transcription
- Transcribed text is returned to ClipBolt and used for clip detection
- OpenAI retains audio and transcription data according to their privacy policy

ClipBolt uses OpenAI's GPT-4o model for clip analysis and topic detection:

Data Impulse (Residential Proxy Service)
ClipBolt may use Data Impulse as a residential proxy provider for certain technical operations:
- Used only for infrastructure operations, not for user data processing
- No personal user data is shared with this provider

We use collected information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Process video clipping requests
- Handle billing and subscription management

5. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained as long as your account is active
- Source videos: Deleted within 24 hours of processing
- Generated clips: Retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted
- Usage logs: Retained for up to 90 days
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share information with:
- Stripe (for payment processing)
- OpenAI (for video transcription)
- Service providers necessary to operate the platform
- Law enforcement, if required by legal process
7. Cookies and Session Management
ClipBolt uses cookies and similar technologies only for essential authentication and session management purposes. These include:
- auth_token: Session authentication cookie that maintains your login state
- Purpose: Enable secure access to your account and prevent unauthorized access
- Duration: Expires when you log out or after 30 days of inactivity
- Essential: Required for Service functionality
- Tracking: Not used for advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking
All cookies are first-party cookies set by ClipBolt. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or beacons. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from using ClipBolt.
